Who we are

BuilderTalks Pty Ltd operates the BuilderTalks platform (buildertalks.polsia.app). We collect and process personal information as described in this policy.

What we collect

When you create an account, we collect:

• Your name and work email address
• Account credentials (hashed password — we never store plaintext passwords)
• Subscription and billing information (processed via Stripe)
• Toolbox talk sign-off records, including worker names and digital signatures

Sign-off data includes worker names and signature images. This data is stored securely and used only to provide your audit trail.

How we use your data

We use your information to:

• Provide access to toolbox talk topics and sign-off tools
• Generate audit records for compliance purposes
• Process subscription payments via Stripe
• Send account-related emails (verification, reset password)

We do not sell your data or share it with third parties for marketing purposes.

Data storage and security

Personal data is stored in secure cloud databases (Neon/PostgreSQL). Passwords are hashed using bcrypt before storage. Signature images are stored as encrypted base64 data.

Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe — we never see or store your credit card details.

Cookies and sessions

We use session cookies to keep you logged in. These are httpOnly, secure in production, and expire after 30 days of inactivity. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

Your rights

You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing support@buildertalks.com.au. We will respond within 5 business days.
